Addressing Maternal Health Challenges: Massachusetts’ Landmark Legislation 

Massachusetts has enacted “An Act Promoting Access to Midwifery Care and Out-of-Hospital Birth Options” to address maternal health challenges. This legislation aims to improve maternal health outcomes by expanding access to midwifery and doula services, supporting birth centers, and providing comprehensive mental health and substance use support.
